The weather forecast all week had promised a fine day on Saturday with rain coming from the west later in the afternoon; no such luck! We set up in the rain and so it continued for the duration of the fete but, in the words of Andrew Fugle, our ever-positive disc jockey, "we had sunshine in our hearts"
The flower and vegetable show failed to attract any entries but the fancy dress competition, where we had invited children to come dressed as a vegetable, had two very cute pumpkins to compete for first place. Each received a bag of sweets.

Undeterred by the weather, the bouncy castle continued to attract custom whilst parents enjoyed cream teas and a flutter on the raffle and tombola.
We could have hoped for better weather but a remarkable total of £450 was realised to share between the chaurch and the village hall. A big thank you to all who helped or came and supported us.
